A NOTE FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Eight communities. One shoreline. The right beach for your family.
Long Beach Island is not one beach. It is eighteen miles of barrier island stretching from Barnegat Lighthouse in the north to the Holgate Wildlife Refuge in the south, with eight distinct beach communities in between.
That geography matters for family portraits. Each town along LBI has its own light, crowd patterns, and personality. Choosing the right beach for your session can make all the difference.
I have been photographing families along the Jersey Shore since 1983. I know which LBI beaches glow at golden hour, which ones offer quiet stretches of sand even in peak August, and how to make a beach session feel like a relaxed evening with your family, not a stiff photo shoot.
Whether you are staying at a rental in Beach Haven, visiting family in Surf City, or coming up for a long weekend in Loveladies, I will match the right beach to your group and the moment.
